The Caribana continues to grow and offers itself a second stage in 1997. This year also sees the blues come to the festival for the first time, and a shuttle service is added to the organisation.
Today, the Caribana is still going strong. The impromptu festival of 1989 has blossomed to welcome tens of thousands of visitors and feature world-renowned artists such as Mika, Earth, Wind & Fire, Lou Reed, ZZ Top, Katy Perry, Queens of the Stone Age, Imagine Dragons, Kyo, Bastian Baker, and Patti Smith.
