"Thank you", that’s the conclusion Wallace draws as he crushes his last cigarette in the ashtray. An 11-track LP where the artist’s themes are stronger than ever, the emotional contradictions that drive someone to end a relationship and then fantasize about it afterward. Wallace digests opposing inspirations to better regurgitate them, the past and future intertwining, urbanism and rural life clashing, in a heart that seems no longer able to distance itself from the enormity of what it feels. "Thank You" is therefore an intimate piece, familial even in its conception, supported by his partner PR on the composition as in the last 3 projects, a friendship that allows for a sincere music creation, oscillating between pure French rap like on "Le Bus", pop song on "Plafond", and spoken word that opens and closes the album. This method allows the artist to open up by stripping down his phrasing. The album cover (designed by the artist's sister) depicts 5 cigarettes, like the 5 letters of the title, representing each stage of a doomed relationship, but one that will tell the journey.
