On January 16, 1998, Air released Moon Safari, an album that propelled Nicolas Godin and Jean-Benoît Dunckel to the top of electronic music. At the time, with only an EP to their name, they caught the attention of the world thanks to their innate talent for pop composition, making history with tracks like "Sexy Boy," "Kelly Watch The Stars," and "All I Need." The album attracted icons like David Bowie, Madonna, and Beck, and influenced artists of the next generation such as Charlotte Gainsbourg and Kevin Parker. Twenty-five years later, Moon Safari remains a timeless work, a perfect blend of mystery, love, and beauty—a "universal spell" that continues to captivate. In 2024, Air will finally present it live for the first time.
